Step Afrika!’s Home Performance Series (HPS) features two weeks of feature-length performances by the award-winning artists of Step Afrika!

After a year touring across the globe, Step Afrika! returns home to Washington, DC to present its biggest production of the year. This June, Step Afrika! explores hip-hop and technology with “superhuman” guest artist Kenny Muhammad the incredible “Human Orchestra”.

Step Afrika! and Washington City Paper invite you to to an evening of excitement with the world premiere of nxt/step, an all new production that remixes the power and international influence of stepping with hip hop, multimedia and rhythm.

Ticket includes admission to a post-performance party, The Chuck Brown Experience, celebrating of the life and music of the iconic Godfather of Go-Go.

There will also be a LIVE broadcast with WPFW’s “Soul Controllers”.
