The success of many of our programs depends directly on the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. You could make a difference and play a vital role at the Atlas!

Who can be a volunteer?

  • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
  • Volunteers must be friendly, outgoing and enjoy working with people
  • Volunteers should have an interest in promoting Atlas programs

What do volunteers do?

  • Front of House Volunteers engage Atlas audiences as ushers, direct patrons to the theaters and also interact with audiences in the Atlas Café.
  • Departmental Assistants work in the Atlas offices during regular business hours. Duties vary and may include clerical assistance, computer entry, phone calls, web research, mailings and packet preparation. Each department will provide the necessary orientation or training.

What are the benefits of volunteering?

  • Volunteers receive a pass for a complimentary ticket to an Atlas performance of their choice (pending availability).
  • Active volunteers also receive an invitation to the annual volunteer recognition event at the Atlas.
  • Volunteers know that they’re making not only a valuable contribution to the performing arts but to the Atlas’ vibrant H Street NE community as a whole.

We’re so grateful for your willingness to dedicate your time and energy to the Atlas!
