Come see the freshest dance in town! The NACHMO January Challenge calls choreographers to create a new dance in just 31 days. This showcase features a selection of the pieces that were created in January 2022 by DC-area artists, across a wide variety of movement styles. The NACHMO DC 2022 program is supported by a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities.
The February 19 performance features works by Covenant Babatunde, Robin Rodbell, Sylvana Christopher and John Lee, Kyoko Fujimoto, Emily Green, Ashlee McKinnon, Abigail Wallace, Victoria Winter, Jessica Hoversen and Dustyn Martincich, Erica Rae Smith, Lucia Gagliardone and Norell Sherman, and Margaux Lieser.
The February 20 performance features works by Rush Johnston, Katie Vaught, Casey Hearing, Rachael Alexandra, Madeline Maxine Gorman, Emily Ames, Jamie Garcia, Deanna Woodman, Roberta Rothstein, Heather Doyle, Emily Aurand and Chloe Richier, and Juanita Winston.
