The Youth Documentary Program at Sitar Arts Center (in partnership with Meridian Hill Pictures) offers promising young people the opportunity to find their creative voice and build vital leadership skills through documentary film making by producing nonfiction films that speak to the relevant issues in their lives and local communities. In this trio of films: Life As A Collage; Doing It For Me; and I Am, We Are; these DC youth (ages 10 – 18) investigate the complexities of: terminal illness & collage art; high school dropout pressures; and the feelings of social difference & belonging.
